About food...


I come from a part of the world where food was, it is, and i believe it will be natural for many years from now.
I remember the time when Romania was under the communist regime and people were struggling finding food on the stores. Anyone had relatives on the country side and all the food that they were consuming come from there.
Because my father profession ( veterinarian ) we had the opportunity to own a piece of land about 24 kilometers away from the city. In the early 1989 my family decide to buy a house in that aria and in the same year we all were living there having a huge garden behind the house.
Me and my brother were forced to spend at least 10% from the play time working and helping my mom and dad with work in the garden.
Starting with romaine salad, eggplants , tomatoes, potatoes, strawberry's, and i have to much to list here, we were eating the best you can get.
Because of the religion purposes and food culture reasons I had to eat pork meat, beef, lamb, and everything vegetarians call un-healthy food . There was no such a thing as unhealthy food back then. Animals were feed with natural ground food and in consequence the meet was tasty and healthy. In the present because of desperate need of money every food manufacturer tries to create the taste forgetting about the quality of what we put in our bodies.
And because I don't want to make this so long I would like to remind everyone who read this that BALANCE and EQUILIBRIUM is the key to have a strong and health body and mind.
Don't eat to much , exercise daily, and burn the fat as much as you can before is accumulating and start to destroy our bodies.

PS Can anyone give me an answer to" WHY EVERYTHING THAT TASTE GOOD IS NO HEALTHY"?

Hey Boggie,
First I would like to start with a phrase by Gary Null (a well-known Ph.D nutritionist): "Food is supposed to be good for you but not to make you feel good".

Regarding your question at the end. I can give you a list of things that taste great and very healthy too. Starting with dessert: apple, orange, watermelon, pineapple, kiwi, date filed with nut...

You have mentioned moderation, I somehow agree with it since I don't believe that we are supposed to eat junk sometimes, just so we can support all those fast food restaurants. Or prove other people that we are "normal".

BTW - Interesting story about your childhood...

bogguie... I am agree with you I think we have to take care wiht the food that we get. Similary, I think that is not bad to get junk food once and a while just to enjoy it.
